End Of Summer Family Session | Millennium Park | Creve Coeur, Missouri
I'm sure I sound like a broken record when I say I can't believe how quickly this summer has gone by, but I think you'll also agree with me that it has! Autumn is here to stay whether we're ready or not, so I personally was grateful for the opportunity to shoot one last summer session before officially welcoming Fall in.
After having to change locations due to Missouri's impeccable timing with rain, we settled on shooting at the beautiful Millennium Park in Creve Coeur. It was my first time taking photographs there, so Josh & I arrived a little early to scout it out. There were so many fun and unique spots, one of them being historic Tappmeyer House.
"Built in the 1880s, the Tappmeyer house was originally located on Olive Street Road on a 33-acre working farm. The Tappmeyer farm also had livestock—mules, horses, cattle, pigs, and chickens—and a large orchard and vegetable garden.
For over 100 years, four generations of Tappmeyers lived in the house, an example of the ornate Victorian Italianate architecture popular at the time. The house was moved to Millennium Park in 2003. Today, the home has period-appropriate furnishings on the first floor, which has been restored and is open to the public for exhibits, tours, and functions. Tappmeyer descendants still live in the area." - creve-couer.org
Yes, Josh & I are architecture geeks, lol!
Their kids were GORGEOUS and so full of personality! I enjoyed talking with and learning more about each of them individually. With such strong and intelligent parents, I can guarantee these kids are going somewhere!
As always, Josh & I had a blast photographing together, and beautiful families that like to have fun & laugh together at their session always make it all the more fun. It was a great way to close out the summer!
